Hawkeye^® Blue Fixed Prism Borescopes are ideal for viewing inside large, dark spaces.

They are made with independent illumination and imaging channels to provide optimum image clarity and contrast; this is important in particularly dark spaces because high intensity illuminating light delivered via simpler mirror tubes can intermix with the image as it is transmitted, lowering image clarity and contrast, particularly if the mirror is not clean. The separate lines in the Blue Fixed Prism model avoid this and therefore provide a superior image quality for viewing dark subjects.

This range of borescopes also have medium to wide fields-of-view, ranging from 55° to 100° and offer a range of fixed directions of view: 0°, 30°, 70°, and 90°.
This allows clear visualisation of features within bores and cylinders, to allow examination of aspects such as surface finish, whilst also facilitating the inspection of additional channels such as cross drilled holes.

They are therefore a great option for anyone wishing to examine inside dark vessels, such as fuel tanks and pipelines.
